ROZZZQWEEN

Biography:

Rozzzqueen the Brummy Extraordinaire has built her sound from trauma, tumultuous relationships and life’s harshest lessons.  Her tone is jazzy and unique and strokes of her voice exude clear influential references such as Erykah Badu, Amy Winehouse and Billie Holiday.  It comes as no surprise that these iconic superstars are also her biggest inspirations.

Originating from Birmingham, she has never forgotten her city.  She claims that it’s the city that “carved her sound”.  She was able to find TikTok spotlight with her song ‘Sunday Afternoon’ that trended virally, soaring her streams independently to over 450K in 2019.  Since then she went on to release her EP album ‘Damned if I Don’t’, which she quotes “was an album I genuinely felt like if I didn’t do it I’d be damned in misery for eternity”.  Rozzzqueen is in the process of perfecting her sound so that when she releases, it will hit with a bang!

She is gigging regularly in London and Birmingham, recently performed at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games Edgbaston Festival and has been shortlisted for the Best R&B at the Birmingham Music Awards, where she will also be performing.  In October she is taking part in the Hot Vox and War Childs RISING.

Genre: Singer, R&B
